This wedding was a dream to design! Hidden on the coast of Maine inside the lush forest of Acadia National Park, the Asticou Inn has long been a go-to for east coasters in need of some quiet time. The Inn, built in 1883, is the definition of rustic charm. Antique wallpapers change from room to room, original dark woods run from floor to ceiling, and the scents of fresh pine and firewood linger. The bride wanted an elegant and sophisticated wedding, and this was the perfect setting. We kept the ceremony organic and natural, letting the Maine coast handle the visual aesthetic. For dinner, I based the design on the gorgeous yellow Chinoiserie wallpaper, asking our florist Emily Carter to help us feel like we're walking into a real life version of the wallpaper. We kept the bridesmaids simple and classic, and the groomsmen chic and sophisticated. Below you'll find my design boards, and images from the wedding.
